Laura E. Woods grew up in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. A lover of all things theatre, she made her way to Emerson College in Boston to study Educational Theatre. After a short stint teaching high school theatre in Texas, Laura landed in San Francisco to pursue her MA in Drama at San Francisco State University. She has been teaching in the San Ramon Valley since 2003 and at California High School since 2005. Some of her favorite shows she’s directed have been: The Laramie Project, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Seussical, Antigone, The Marriage of Bette and Boo and Romeo and Juliet.

When she’s not teaching she enjoys traveling with her family, reading, painting, knitting and making jewelry.
